The 2026 @bodyboardkingdom Shark Island Challenge is confirmed to run over two half days of competition this coming weekend, the 23rd and 24th of May.
With a building east to east south easterly swell brewing out in the Tasman, confirmed by the forecasting gurus over @swellnet , and a prevailing high pressure system surging over mainland Australia we have the ideal conditions presenting themselves to run this historic comp over two half days at one of the worlds greatest slabs, Shark Island.
Please keep checking our socials for updates leading into the weekend, make sure you plan ahead for street parking in the Cronulla area and look to utilise public transport as an alternative mode of getting to the comp site.
Our live feed will kick off around midday on Saturday through our trusted friends and colleagues over @sportingnewsau YouTube channel.
To conclude this weekends festivities we will be holding the presentation and after party at @tarenpointbowlingclub . With cold beer, great food and updated facilities it’s the place to let your hair down in more ways than one.
